Australia v India ,1st Test Preview

Hello and welcome to our preview of 1st Test match.

Our good friend Neil provided it to us and we must appreciate all the homework done by him.

Here is the preview by Neil :

It seems like an age since the last Test match action between England
and South Africa however I have still enjoyed England's surprising
performance against South Africa in the odis and the exciting climax to
the English county season the highlight for me was Durham turning round
a 16 point deficit in the final round of county championship matches to
win the title and hence landing my each way bet on them @ 5/1 which I
mentioned in a preview in April perhaps I should stick to county cricket
as I certainly seem to have had more success in that sphere than
international matches recently.

India play Australia on Thursday morning at Bangalore in the first match
of a four test series the match is due to commence at 5am U.K time
I believe the outcome of this series is particularly difficult to call
with doubts about both teams.
India - the home team are always very difficult to beat in their
conditions and as recently as the beginning of the year they ran
Australia very close in an away test series finally losing the series
2-1 however since then they have drawn a series at home to South Africa
and lost a 3 match series 2-1 in Sri Lanka when some of their more
experienced batsmen performed poorly.
Their overall record in test matches since January 2007 is as follows
Played 19 won 6 drawn 7 and lost 6 this breaks down between home played
6 won 2 drawn 3 and lost 1 and away played 13 won 4 drawn 4 and lost 5
they are currently ranked 3rd in the ICC test rankings with 109 points.

Australia -since the beginning of the year they have lost the services
of Warne, Gilchrist and Mcgrath the loss of three top class
internationals has obviously affected the teams performance however they
have still only lost one test since the beginning of 2007 in May they
won a series away in the West Indies 2-0 although they were put under
pressure by the Windies at various times throughout the series.
They have arrived in India without Andrew Symonds who has been dropped
for disciplinary matters and the loss of his batting is sure to affect
the team further.
It is hardly a secret that spin bowling has a big part to play in most
tests in India and the loss of Shane Warne could well have a major
bearing on this series with none of his replacements possessing anything
near his abilities.
Even so Australia will no doubt be very competitive and be difficult to
beat.
Their overall record in test matches from the beginning of 2007 is as
follows Played 10 won 7 and drawn 2 broken down between at home played 7
won 5 drawn 1 and lost 1 and away played 3 won 2 and drawn 1 they are
currently easily top of the ICC rankings with 138 points.
I have used the last 10 matches dating back to 1987 for the statistical
analysis for Bangalore from these India have won 3 lost 5 and drawn 2
one of these draws against England in 2001 was severely affected by rain
with over 2 days play lost. The toss winner has won 5 and lost 3 and the
toss winner has elected to bat first in all 10 matches. The average
number of overs to complete is 340 and the average innings score is 302
however in the last two tests to be played here both matches have gone
the full 5 days and the average innings score has increased to 415.
Team news this remains a matter of conjecture at this stage but my guess
is that India will play their 5 most experienced batsmen
Dravid,Ganguly,Laxman, Tendulkar and Sehwag keeper Dhoni two spinners in
Captain Kumble and Harbhajan and three pace bowlers from the impressive
young quick Ishant Sharma, Zaheer Khan ,R.P Singh and Munaf Patel
Australia - batsmen captain Ponting, Michael Clarke, Hayden Jacques and
Hussey keeper Haddin all rounder Watson their three most experienced
pace bowlers in Lee, Clark and Johnson and a spin bowler either Cameron
White who has more of a reputation as a one day bowler and hard hitting
batsman or off spinner Krejza who has not impressed in the warm up
matches.
Weather- I have checked three internet weather sites one shows little
chance of rain the other two show the possibility of some rain however
these sites can be notoriously inaccurate.
My tissue for this match is below
India 2/1
Australia 2/1
The draw 2/1
This may appear to be a gross simplification however there have only
been 2 draws in the last 10 matches and one of these was severely
weather affected that would put the draw price @ 4/1 the last two
matches played here have gone the whole distance with one finishing in a
draw and both India and Australia have strong batting line ups on paper
so I have reduced the price to 2/1 I cannot split the two teams in my
mind at the moment particularly with India possessing superior spin
bowlers in what should be advantageous home conditions so I have gone
with 2/1 on any result .
At the time of writing the best prices available with the bookmakers are
as follows India 12/5 (boylesports) Australia 5/2(sporting bet to a few
pennies! ) and the draw 5/4(William Hills & Paddy Power) and on the
exchanges to back India 3.5 Aus 3.7 the draw 2.2.
I have already got a little on the draw at an average of 2.55 and will
look to trade out of this if it dips below 2.0 early in the match I
shall also be looking to back any result if the price drifts above 7.0
on the first morning however I will mainly be following Dips trading
rooms advice for this match my £25 fun bet with the bookies will be
placed on Australia as they are marginally the highest price im sure
sporting will allow a £25 bet!
Good luck and regards
Neil

Live : India v Sri Lanka ,5th ODI

Hello and welcome to our continues coverage of India v Sri Lanka ODI series.
Please check back after sometime for preview and 1st innings plan.
As a rule nowdays we don't involve in prematch odds unless any true freelay around 1.3x .
.................
P.S :
Live stream of the match will start just before toss.
So enjoy live pictures with live cricket trading advise.
Thanks
..............

1st Update : Another match today Eng/S.A 2nd ODI at same time which we are covering in live trading room.So plan is to involve minimum in this match ,probably only 1 trade in starting overs of 1st innings.
..................
2nd Update
Preview & 1st Innings Plan :

1.Day-Night Game ,3rd back to back match at this ground.

2.Average score ground and 250+ very good score to defend.

3.Pitch take turn late so batting becomes difficult as game progress.

4.Weather:
Chances of rain.Presetly clear.

5.Teams :
Plenty of changes in both sides because it's a dead rubber but no confirm news so far.

6.Market mood :
Again with Lanka but not blindly.
Presently odds are 1.8

...............
Summary is :

Standard theory "Win toss , bat first , score 230+ and win match".

India won last 3 matches but because it's a dead rubber we don't know how important this match to them.

................
Predicted target odds :

(A) If India bat first :

310 1.2x
290 1.3x
270 1.5x
250 1.8x
230 3.2
210 6
190 9

*All are India odds.

(B) If Lanka bat first :

310 1.2x
290 1.3x
270 1.4x
250 1.6x
230 2.8x
210 5
190 7

*All are Lanka odds.
...............

1st innings plan :
It is going to be almost same like last match.

.................
(A) If India bat first :

Plan is :

1.Back 200@2 Lanka if comes in 1st 15 overs with stop loss 30 ticks.
If stop loss not hit then take profit whenever you get chance.

(B) If Lanka bat first :

Plan is :

1.Lay 300@1.6 Lanka if comes in 1st 15 overs with stop loss 14 ticks.
Take profit whenever you get chance.

Gl
................
*I will try to post a update after 7-8 overs.

...............
3rd Update :
Lanka 7/1 in 6th over.
India 1.61
1.Back 100@1.8 India if comes with stop loss 30 ticks.
Take profit at 1.3x
................
4th Update :
Lanka 96/4
Odds India 1.74
Poor liquidity due to England match.
Back India now and take zero position on India (Murali & Vaas not playing so odds are going to be in India's favour at innings break).
No plan to involve again till 2nd innings.
Gl
.................
Innings Break :
Lanka 227/6 in 50 overs.
Odds India 1.74
Historically chase is difficult at this ground but Murali and Vaas both not playing so you may see India 1.2x very early.
Small back India now and then green up whenever get chance.

Gl

..................
Update :
India 70/3
Match delayed by rain.
Last trade not going our way but still good book position on any result thanks mainly to big lay Lanka @1.6 in 1st innings because that trade never hit stop loss and India traded @1.2x lowest in 1st innings.
Well D/L may come in picture now so it's risky to involve further.
Take equal green position on any result now.
We are also heading towards big profit in England v South Africa, 2nd ODI in live trading room.
All the best.

India v Sri Lanka, 4th ODI -27th August -2nd Innings {Inplay}

8th Update :
Lanka 190/7 in 41 overs.
India 1.03
Game is almost over unless any miracle.
No plan to involve further.

Very good match for us.
If you want to ask me which trade i enjoyed most in this match then i'll tell you 1st Trade > Back Lanka 1.8+ in starting overs of 1st innings.
That was the safest trade of the match and here our little knowledge of cricket betting comes.
Good night.
.................
7th Update :
Lanka 125/4 in 28th overs.Odds 1.31.
Plan is :
Back India 100@1.6 if comes with stop loss 20 ticks means lay 90@1.8 if drift.
Reason for this trade is India may touch 1.6 but going to be big resistance to reach 1.8
due to required run rate and market mood ,if stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance.
Gl
...............
6th Update :
Lanka 93/3
India 1.41

...............
5th Update :
Lanka 61/2 in 16 overs.
India 1.65
It's time to level our book now.

Take equal green position on any result now.
Next plan :
I want to wait for India 1.2x or Lanka 1.4x to lay for safe trading (volatile market is expected and may be D/L come in picture sooner or later because there is chances of rain).
Although i will post a small plan after 5 overs.
Gl
...............
4th Update :
Lanka 42/2
India 1.36
Lay 50 more now and let it run.
Back plan 80@1.65
Gl
.................
Phewwwwwww.
What was that 1.5 without wicket ?
Market with India totally IMO.
..............
3rd Update :
Lanka 29/1 in 7 overs.
Lay 50@1.7 India now.
If more wicket in next 5 overs then don't do anything ,just wait.
All the best.
..............
2nd Update :

Lanka 24/0 in 5 overs.
Lanka favourites now.
Going to be easy chase IMO but you never know.
Plan is same and after 1 wicket we may consider back Lanka 2.4+
Gl
................
Innings Break Update :

India 257/9

Odds 1.82
Well our predicted target odds once again proved right and spot on.
...................
Plan for 2nd innings 1st 15 overs :

1.Lay Lanka 200@1.45 if comes with stop loss 12 ticks.
Take profit whenever you get chance.

2.Lay India 100@1.45 or below if comes upto 2 wickets with 15 ticks stop loss.
Take profit whenever you get chance.

So far these two main plan and other plans according to match situation after 15 overs.
All the best.

India v Sri Lanka, 4th ODI -27th August -Replay {Inplay}

9th Update :

India 224/4

Plan is :
1.Lay India 300@1.33 if comes with back plan 250@1.5x Stop loss at innings break.
2.Back India 100@1.8 if comes and let it run.

Gl
.............
8th Update
India 167/3
odds 1.58

Stop loss point.
Next plan :
1.Lay India 300@1.33 if comes with back plan 250@1.5x
Stop loss at innings break.
Gl
.........................
7th Update :

India 131/3
India 1.95

Our last trade hit stop loss.

Next plan :

1.Lay India 200@1.72 as free lay with 14 ticks stop loss.
If stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance.

2.Back Lanka 200@2 if comes after 4 wickets with stop loss 20 ticks.
Let it run if stop loss not hit.

Gl

Predicted target odds once again :

(A) If India bat first :

310 1.2x
290 1.3x
270 1.5x
250 1.8x
230 3.2
210 6
190 9

*All are India odds.

IMO India a good freelay @1.7x because they may not score 265+ and no need to take stop loss (India odds are not going to be less than 1.7 at innings break) but then it will be gamble.Stop loss is must even if value need to be surrendered.

................

6th Update :

India 104/3

Plan is same.

Back Lanka 200@1.70 if comes with stop loss 20 ticks.

Lay 185@1.9 if odds drifts.

.............

5th Update :

India 82/3

Plan is same.

One more plan Lay Lanka 100@1.2x if comes just after 4th wicket if score 110+

Back plan all above 20 ticks and stop loss 6-8 ticks.
GL

.............
4th Update :
India 51/2
Lanka 1.45
Cover some liability now and then back Lanka 200@1.7+ if comes with stop loss 20 ticks this time.
If stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance.
Presently no plan to lay Lanka big because it may prove very costly if batting collapse.
We may consider lay Lanka around 1.2x according to situation.
All the best.
...............
3rd Update :
India 33/0 in 8th over.

Lanka 1.79
Plan is same.
Good luck.
.............
2nd Update :

India batting first and Lanka 1.9 now.
Back 200 now with stop loss 40 ticks.
If stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance.
Gl
.................
1st Update :

Good news.Weather is clear today and every chance of full play.
Gl
.................
Update...................

27th August :

Match replayed today.
Plan is same if 50 overs game.
I'll post other plan before start.
All the best.

.................
1st Update :
Preview is same like last match because venue, team and conditions are same.

1.Day-Night Game ,toss winner may chose to bat first.

2.Above 250 is difficult to chase under lights.

3.Good batting pitch but both teams batsman struggling to score in series so far.Bowlers dominating.

4.Weather:
Chances of rain so reduced over game or D/L might play part.
*presently raining for last half hours but expected to be cleared soon.

5.Teams :
Expected to be same.

6.Market mood :
With Lanka no doubt even after two successive defeat.
Strong prematch favourites @1.6x

7.Live stream of match :
You can find it at chavster.ulmb.com , justin.tv or cricketlivelinks.com
...............
Summary is :

Win toss , bat first , score 230+ and win match.

Both teams struggling for good start so good strategy is to back bowling team 2+ in starting overs of 1st innings.
................
Predicted target odds :

(A) If India bat first :

310 1.2x
290 1.3x
270 1.5x
250 1.8x
230 3.2
210 6
190 9

*All are India odds.

(B) If Lanka bat first :

310 1.2x
290 1.3x
270 1.4x
250 1.6x
230 2.8x
210 5
190 7

*All are Lanka odds.
...............

1st innings plan :

As you can see from predicted target odds that present odds ( Lanka favourites @1.6x ) suggesting that if India bat first then they are going to score 220-230 and if Lanka bat first then expected score is 250 atleast at which Lanka odds are going to be same as prematch 1.6x

.................
(A) If India bat first :

Plan is :

1.Back 200@1.8 Lanka if comes in 1st 15 overs with stop loss 40 ticks means if India become favourites @1.8 then take stop loss by backing India.
Reason for this trade is market generally hold Lanka team price at this level (1.8x) for 5-7 overs because of spinners act from 15 overs onwards. It is like free back and consider close at same odds with minimum profit or loss after 5-7 overs if no profit from this trade.

If stop loss not hit then take profit whenever you get chance.

(B) If Lanka bat first :

Plan is :

1.Lay 300@1.44 Lanka if comes in 1st 15 overs with stop loss 14 ticks.
Take profit whenever you get chance.
So far these 2 plan and I'll post other plan after 5-7 overs play.
Gl
................
Hello and welcome back.

4th match today.

India v Sri Lanka ,3rd ODI - 24th August {Inplay}

Result :

India won the match by 33 runs.
Handsome profit today even last trade hit stop loss.
Waiting for your valueable comments either positive or negative because they are must to run these inplay posts.
Good night.
.................
6th Update :

Lanka 95/7
India 1.02
Game is almost over.
Next plan is back India 100@1.4 with 30 ticks stop loss whenever and if comes.
Gl
...............
5th Update :
Lanka 58/4 in 15th over.
India 1.25
Lay 100 now with back plan all above 20 ticks.
Stop loss 7 ticks.

Gl
.................
4th Update :
Lanka 40/4 in 10th over.
Wait and watch time.
If some recovery by Lanka then we may consider lay India around 1.2x
Gl
................
Our predicted target odds performed very well as you can see predicted odds at 230 was 3.2x
Actual score is 237 and India odds are around 3.0x

Predicted target odds is a proven very good base or tool for 1st innings trading.
..............
Innings Break :
India 237/9 in 50 overs.

Odds 1.52

Very good match for us so far and IMO take equal green position on any result.

Plan for 2nd innings is to wait for Lanka or India 1.2x for safe trading.
Although i will post small trade plan after 10 overs play.
But if Lanka available after good start to lay @1.24 in 1st 5 overs then lay 200 with stop loss 7 ticks.
Take profit whenever you get chance.
Gl
.................
3rd Update :
India 125/4 in 30 overs.
Lanka 1.48
Lanka so far traded lowest @1.24 and highest @1.84

http://uk.site.sports.betfair.com//betting/LoadRunnerInfoAction.do?marketId=21157141&selectionId=7337&timeZone=Europe/London&region=GBR&locale=en&brand=betfair&currency=GBP

Back 200 now if not taken stop loss 9 ticks before because plan was 10 ticks stop loss (1 tick is always associated with me).

Next plan is :

1.Back Lanka 150@1.7 whenever comes with 30 ticks stop loss.If stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance but more on Lanka.

Gl

*Facing connection problem so next update may delay.
...............
3rd Update :
India 62/3 in 15 overs.
Lanka 1.33
Lay 200 now with stop loss 10 ticks.
Back plan 220 @1.55
Gl
................
2nd Update :
India 52/2 in 12 overs.
Odds 1.47

Well Lanka so far traded at 1.8x highest but i don't know whether they traded @1.85 or not because i don't have price graph presently and my request to visitors is that if you have price graph web link then please send it to me at findfreelay@gmail.com
Plan for next 20 overs :
1.Back Lanka 150@1.7 if comes with 30 ticks stop loss.If stop loss not hit then green up whenever you get chance but more on Lanka.

2.Lay Lanka 200@1.28 with stop loss 8 ticks.Back plan 220@1.45
Gl
Next update after 10 overs.
...............
1st Update :

Welcome back.
Predicted target odds :
*According to 50 overs.
(A)India batting first :

310 1.3x
290 1.4x
270 1.6x
250 2.2x
230 3.2
210 6
190 9
*All are India odds.

Plan is :
1.Back Lanka 200@1.85 if comes in first 15 overs.Stop loss 30 ticks means back India 200@1.85 if India bat well.
If stop loss not hit then green up at 1.4x

I will post other plan after 10-12 overs.
Good luck.

India v Sri Lanka ,2nd ODI -20th August {Inplay}

7th Update :
India 105/5
Odds 1.07
Plan is to lay 250@1.04 if comes in next 2-3 overs as freelay for 10 runs means if wickets then take profit or close at same odds if no wicket.
Gl
................
6th Update :
India 75/3
Odds 1.09

Last trade hit stop loss but our book position is still green on any result.Back India 1.2x after any wicket and take zero position on Lanka.
Other plan is to lay India after 5 wickets at 1.0x if 40+ runs remaining.
I'll update at that time.
Gl
..............
5th Update :
India 17/2
Odds 1.27
126 runs more required.

Volatile market expected and best policy in this market is to lay any team short odds.

Lay India or Lanka 500@1.14 with 4 ticks stop loss whenever comes.Take profit whenever you get chance on above 15 ticks.
Gl
.............
4th Update :

Lanka 142 allout.
India 1.12
Lay 50 now so that our book position become all green.
Plan is :

1.Lay India 500@1.04 if comes in 1st 10 overs.
Back plan 450@1.08
Stop loss :
Odds may shorten to 1.01 but just wait and in that case back all after any wicket @1.04+

2.Back 50@1.6 India if comes upto 3 wickets but score 40+ and let it run.Lay 200@1.2 if comes after back and take profit whenever you get chance.
Stop loss :
If more wickets after that try to close trade at 1.6-1.7 whenever you get chance.
Gl
................
3rd Update :

Lanka 122/9
India 1.09
Our book is green on India and small red on Lanka now.
Next plan in 2nd innings in which lay India 500@1.0x after 2 wickets is main plan.
I'll update that time.
Gl
.................
2nd Update :

Lanka 94/6
India 1.17

Next plan is :

1.Back 50@1.20
2.Back 70@1.30
3.Lay 300@1.09 or below if comes upto 8 wickets but score 110+
Back plan 200@1.15 and save remaining 100 for 2nd innings.

Gambhir and Sehwag both not playing today so anything over 130 is going to be interesting chase.
Good luck.

Update 20th August :

Apologies for late update as my alarm didn't worked today.
Lanka batting first and score is 44/6.
India favourites @1.07

Lay 200@1.08 now and let it run with back plan 100@1.15.
Gl
...............
Hello,

Venue & timings are same for this match.
This time Lanka favourites @1.53

Well going to be another toss trading tomorrow morning.
If India bat first then we may see odds around 1.45 and if Lanka bat first then 1.65
................
Plan is to look for Lanka 1.8+ if India bat first to back.
If Lanka bat first then try is to find a freelay in Lanka odds around 1.4x after good start.

Let's see how things are going to unfold tomorrow.
I will post plans after toss.
All the best.

1st Trade

After any loss i closely analyze the cause or causes behind it (Though it's true that win on every game is not possible but still find cause/causes for any defeat is very important for future to keep loss to minimum).

>Whether it's due to volatile market trading ?

>Whether it's because of backing short odds ?

>Whether it's because of ignoring stop loss ?

>Whether it's because of refuse to green up ?

>Whether it's due to weather ?

>Whether it's due to batting collapse ?

>Whether it's due to early involvement ?
.................

I find the last one most reasonable cause of defeat in today's match along with some other causes (batting collapse & rapid market movement) which were frankly not in our control.
..............

Early Involvement :

It's true that if you involved prematch then either you are thinking that there is good value in any selection almost as a straight bet or there is very good trading opportunity.

But it sometimes proved very wrong if that trade goes against you like today.

I know most of the professionals don't prefer to enter at start. They like to wait and watch few overs first if we talk about cricket and then consider when to enter and at which odds.

That's why title of this post is '1st Trade' which i think is one of the most important part of trading.

Normally if first trade goes well then there is always chances of decent profit in any event but if first trade hit stop loss or goes against us then we are on backfoot in remaining match.

So this post is all about what we learn from our losses and how we can minimise our loss in future.

I hope lesson learnt today and apart from test matches involve prematch or early in the match may prove dangerous in other formats of cricket.
Yes if there any short odds favourites around 1.3x then we may consider involve prematch with strict stop loss.
Waiting for your valueable comments.
All the best.

India v Sri Lanka , 1st ODI {Inplay}

8th Update :
Lanka 101/2
Not a good match for us so far.
Pathetic performance from India today.
Only any miracle can save India now.
Let's hope for good matches in remaining series.
Gl
................
7th Update :
Lanka 69/2 in 19th over.

Poor captain Dhoni !

He has not given ball to spinners so far.
Wait and watch time.
Gl

...............
6th Update :

Lanka 33/1 after 10 overs.
It's the time to close last trade.
Next plan is lay Lanka 500@1.04 or below if comes after 3 wickets and 70+ runs remaining.Back plan 50% or 250 @1.06 and other on higher odds.
Gl

.............
Innings Break :
India 146 allout.
Lanka 1.06

Good effort by tail.
Pitch is not easy to bat on.
Lay 400@1.07 now with back plan all @1.18 or above after 1st wicket.
Presently no stop loss.
Gl
...............
5th Update :

India 87/7
Total surrender by Indian batsman.
We can't do anything now but to wait for 2nd innings and hope some early wickets if target around 150
Gl
................
4th Update :

India 76/5
Wait and watch time again for next 10 overs.
Gl
................
3rd Update :
India 36/3 in 12th over.
Bad start by India but don't forget anything over 190 is a fighting score at this pitch.

Wait and watch time for 10 overs atleast.
If some recovery by India then we may consider lay Lanka 1.2x as freelay later.
Gl
...............
2nd Update :

India 9/1 in 6th over.
Lanka 1.31
Lay 150@1.32 now and then wait.

Gl
..............
1st Update :

India batting first and market responded that by cutting Lanka further.
Lanka 1.59 presently.

Plan is to let last lay run with stop loss 20 ticks.
If stop loss not hit then back plan is :
200@1.8
50@2
50@2.2
I'll post other plan after 7-8 overs play.
All the best.
.................
Update 18th August (09:00 Local Time) :
Welcome back.
Match scheduled to begin at 10:00

Main points :

1.Venue :
Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium

Very average score ground and pitch is bowlers friendly.
Help seamers in start and spinners later on.
Chase 230+ is not easy on this ground.

2.Weather :
Fine

3.Teams :

Big news is Virendra Sehwag doubtful.
Going to be huge disadvantage for India.
No fitness problem in Lanka camp and spin duo M & M playing.

4.Early Trend :

Market favouring Lanka and after Sehwag news Lanka cut to 1.7x
...................
1st Innings Plan :

Well we already layed Lanka 250@1.72
Plan is to let it run if Lanka bat first with 15 ticks stop loss.
Back plan is 200@1.95 and 50@2.4
>If India bat first then plan is almost same but try to back Lanka 1.70+ if available after toss.
I'll post further plans after toss.
Good luck.
................
Hello and welcome to our coverage of India v Sri Lanka , ODI Series.

Current odds are :
Lanka 1.69 as favourites.

It's a prematch freelay and lay 250@1.72 available now.

Plan is to let it run if Lanka bat first with stop loss 15 ticks.

If India bat first then we may consider back 1.6x

Kent v Essex - Friends Provident Trophy Final - 16th August

Last update :

Essex won the match by 5 wickets.
I hope everyone enjoyed our coverage.

P/L of match :
Not prepared it in detail but it is positive without any doubt.
Waiting for comments :) .
Please check back tomorrow for schedule of upcoming matches.
Good bye and good night.
.............

9th Update :

Essex 140/4 in 36th over.
Odds 1.24

Massive odds movement after 4th wicket and frankly i don't know why.
It's going to be tight finish imo because runrate may come in picture sooner or later.

Plan is :
1.Lay Essex 200@1.16 if comes with stop loss 6 ticks.
Green up above 30 ticks if stop loss not hit.
Or

Back all at 1.2+ after 5 overs from trade.
Gl
...............
8th Update :

Essex 88/3
Green up now.
Gl
..............

7th Update :

Essex 67/2 in 16th over.

Essex 2 down now.
Odds 1.24
Plan is :

1.Lay Essex 200@1.15 if comes with stop loss
5 ticks.
Back plan 150@1.3

2.Lay Essex 500@1.04 if comes after 3 wickets and 80+ runs remaining as freelay.

Back plan
300@1.10
100@1.2
50@1.3
Stop loss :
Back all after 5 overs at available odds which i hope is not going to be less then 1.03.

Gl
..............
6th Update :

Essex 39/1 in 9th over.
Wait and watch time till 20 overs.
Gl
.............
Innings Break :

Kent 214 allout in 50 overs.
Odds Essex 1.33

Plan for 2nd innings :

Frankly i want to wait for Essex 1.1x to lay or 1.9x to back.

Essex rightly favourites but
tough batting conditions and chase in lights means it is dangerous to back Essex at these odds.
So plan is :

1.Back Essex 50@1.9 if comes in 1st 15 overs upto 3 wickets but score 40+
Stop loss 40 ticks and let it run if stop loss not hit.

2.Lay Essex 200@1.12 if comes after flying start in 1st 5 overs.
Back all just after any wicket.
Stop loss :
Well odds may shorten upto 1.0x if no wicket so consider let it run for 4-5 overs and then back all at +- 4 ticks.

3.Lay Essex 200@1.2 if comes in 1st 10 overs after 2 wickets and runrate below 6
Stop loss 5 ticks and take profit whenever you get chance.

So far these plans and I'll update after 10 overs and post other plan according to match situation.
All the best.
...............
5th Update :
Kent 177/7

Lay Essex 200@1.25 or below if comes in remaining few overs of 1st innings.
Gl
................
4th Update :

Kent 99/5 in 29th over.

Now plan is for remaining overs of 1st innings:

1.Back Essex 100@1.6 with 30 ticks stop loss.If stop loss not hit then let it run and green up @1.2x

2.Lay Essex 150@1.12 whenever comes with back plan 130@1.3

I hope good trading opportunities and freelays in 2nd innings if target below 210.

Gl

.................
3rd Update :

Kent 43/2 in 14th over.

Plan is (Upto 35 overs):

1.Back Essex 100@1.8 with 40 ticks stop loss means if Kent hit 1.8 then back Kent 100@1.8 and take loss 20 on any result.
If stop loss not hit then let it run and green up @1.3x

2.Lay Essex 150@1.25 with 8 ticks stop loss if comes upto 4 wickets but score 100+
Back plan 100@1.45

Gl

.................
2nd Update

Kent 19/2
Wait and watch time till 15 overs.
Gl
.................
1st Update :

Welcome back.

Kent batting first :

1st Predicted target odds :

(A) Kent bat first :

(Day/Night Match)

330 1.1x
310 1.2x
290 1.4x
270 1.6x
250 2.1x
230 3.2x
210 4.2x
190 4.5x
170 6
*All are Kent odds.

So you can see 1.2x is absolute freelay if very good start or flying start provided Kent score not more than 310.
Predicted target odds is going to be very useful in first innings like if you see Kent can score 270 maximum and odds are going to be 1.6x for that then you can consider lay Kent 1.6x in middle overs as freelay.
Still set a stop loss is advised because any team can score 50 runs in last 3 overs and that can change odds dramatically.
Roughly plan is to lay Kent 1.4x in first 10 overs or back 2.5+
I will update again after 5 overs play and then post definative plan for 1st 15 overs.
Good luck.

Kent v Leicestershire - Pro 40 Div 2 {Inplay}

5th Update :

Kent taken 2 wickets in 1st 10 overs and score is 23
Odds 1.2
We got 1.8 on Kent due to possibility of D/L to play part because of rain.

Green up now and take equal green position on any result.

No plan to involve further as healthy profit is achieved and let's pray for completed match so that our profit become safe.

Good night and please leave some comments if you think it's worth.
Plan is to cover tomorrow's pro 40 match also.
All the best.
................
Update At Innings Break :

Kent 226/7 in 40 overs.
Odds Kent 1.49
Great 1st innings trading for us so i want to play safe in 2nd innings.
Plan is to wait for any selection 1.2x and then decide whether it is a freelay or not.
Although i'm leaving some plan but my advise is trade with small stakes at these odds :

1.Back Kent @1.8 whenever hit with stop loss 40 ticks means back Leicestershire 1.8 if Kent odds drift.
Let it run till 1.3x if stop loss not hit and green up that time.

2.Lay Kent @1.25 if comes upto 3 wickets but score 50+
Stop loss 7 ticks and green up at 1.5x if stop loss not hit.

Good luck.
Next update after 10 overs.
..................
Next update probably at last stage of 2nd innings in short odds.
Good luck.

...............
4th Update.............

Lent 130/4
Odds 1.70
Take equal profit from last trade (Lay Kent 200@1.45)
Next plan is :

1.Lay Kent 200@1.35 if comes with 8 ticks stop loss.
Green up above 15-20 ticks if stop loss not hit.
Gl
..................
3rd Update.............

Kent 68/3 in 16.3 overs.
Odds 1.61

Well good profit so far and i think it is very hard to get that easy opportunity again.
In 1st innings i love to lay batting team in short odds obviously strong prematch favourite team.
Though plan for remaining innings is same but don't forget to take stop loss if required with any specified trade. We are trading not gambling.
All the best.
................
2nd Update :

Kent 38/2 in 9th over.
Green up now and take equal green position on any result.
Next plan is :

1.Lay 200@1.45 Kent if comes again with stop loss 10 ticks.
Back plan 170@1.75

2.Back Kent 50@3 if comes anytime and let it run.

3.Lay Kent 300@1.25 if comes anytime with 7 ticks stop loss.
Green up whenever you get chance on above 20 ticks.
Gl
................
1st Update............

Kent batting first :

Plan is :

1.Lay Kent 200@1.32 if comes in 1st 10 overs with 7 ticks stop loss.
Back plan 100@1.55 and 110@1.75
Green up at 1.3x

2.Back Kent 100@1.8 if comes in 1st 20 overs upto 4 wickets with stop loss 40 ticks means back Leices 100@1.8 if Kent drift.
If stop loss not hit then green up at 1.3x

3.Lay Kent 200@1.45 if comes after 2 wickets in 1st 15 overs but runrate below 7
Green up above 40 ticks and stop loss 12 ticks.

Next update after 10 overs and I'll post other plan according to situation.

All the best.
.................
Hello and welcome to our coverage of county cricket limited overs matches.
Plan is to cover important county matches in this blog for live cricket trading regularly from now on along with straight bet selections.

Today's match is Kent v Leicestershire - Pro 40 Div 2 from 16:00 GMT.

Kent strong favourites at 1.38 presently.
Too short for a limited overs game imo especially against Leicestershire.

Leicestershire lost few matches in this tournament but from very little margin.

So i hope good trading opportunities inplay and lots of free lays especially if Kent bat first or chase small or big target.
..............
Please check back after sometime for 1st innings plan.
All the best.

England v South Africa ,4th Test

Hello and welcome back.

This test match is going to start from tomorrow.Dead rubber and weather means draw heavy favourites but i don't think it will end as a draw.
But still i'm not laying draw because i may get 1.7x very early.
So wait and watch game.
We are covering this test in live trading room.We profited in 4 test matches in a row.
Although there were some losses also and when i carefully examined the results (2 main losses) i found :

1.Loss at value :

Well in 1st test of this series (Lord's) England were value at 1.5+ on day 4 but SA batted exceptionaly well.

2.Refusal of green up position :

In one match our book position was really good but we didn't green up at time and eventually loss in end because of unexpected result.
This was the first time when i think of let win trade run logic but it failed.
Frankly stop loss or let win trade run debate is always going to bother traders but imo try to take profit or cover liability whenever you get chance especially in a volatile market.

Anyway we bounced back very well after these defeats.
What we learn from loss is most important because that is the first step of profit.
Small consistent win are important than one big win followed by almost equal loss.

Now we've adopted a strict money management and i hope from that we may prevent big loss in future.
Also i noticed that we suffered loss mostly due to 4th innings trading.

Test matches are very good for trading in first 3 days or first 3 innings.
There is big chances of volatile market in 4th innings or last day of the match.
Let's hope enough lessons learnt and from that i can say we may not suffer any moderate loss in future fingers crossed.

Test Matches Trading Update

Well a very good result for us in live cricket trading room in England v South Africa ,3rd Test and touchwood India v Lanka match trading is also going very well.

England v South Africa ,3rd Test was real pleasure to watch and it was cricket who won in last.
It was the real test of nerves.
England fought back very well and at one stage they were looking most likely winners.

All three selection traded as odds on and 10+
I will post trades and P/L of this match later as last few days were very hectic.
..................

India v Sri Lanka ,2nd Test :

Match in very good situation now and any result is possible.
India lead by 237 runs and i think today on 4th day India 1.5 or below may prove good freelay till they bat and back Lanka 7+ is going to be a very good trading opportunity.

Weather is also a concern so if India bat well today then Draw may shorten significantly.

Good luck and all the best.

England v South Africa ,3rd Test - Trading Update

Hello.

Test match in good shape now after day 2 and only weather can prevent result (as usual).

After 2 days trading our book position in live trading room :

Back Draw 50@3.50
Lay Draw 40@4
Lay SA 150@1.75
Back SA 150@2.24
Lay SA 100@1.65
Back 120@1.61 SA
Lay 300@1.45 SA
Back 200@1.58 SA
..............
Book position :

England +70
Draw +85
SA +53

................
South Africa score at stumps on day 2 is SA 256/6 (76.0 ov, MV Boucher 11*, AG Prince 37*, JM Anderson 1/64) - Stumps
.............
SA odds are 1.60
They lead by 25 runs and 4 wickets remaining.

Well i think if South Africa start well today then around 1.45-1.48 their price is going to be a good freelay for 10-15 overs and back England 7+ is going to be a good trading opportunity.

................
India v Sri Lanka ,2nd Test :
We involved minimum in this test so far because of weather, poor liquidity.
Although Draw traded at 2.2+ after reached to 1.4 due to rain delay.

I want to wait for any selection short odds and then probably involve if it looks as freelay in this test maybe on day 3 and onwards.

If you are trading on both test matches then good luck and all the best.

IPL Final : Chennai v Jaipur ,1st June {Inplay}

Last update :

Rajasthan 142/7 in 18th over.
Great match for us.
Plenty of flip flops in match so far.
Anyone can win from now on.
No bet time because volatile market expected on any run and wicket.
My advise is take all green position.
Good night to all.
Waiting for your comments.

..............
Rajasthan 77/3
Chennai 1.78
Last trade was back Chennai @1.8
I want to trade out now because required runs are not too many.

Next plan is to lay any team around 1.35 if comes with stop loss 15 ticks.
Gl
................
5th Update :
Rajasthan 42/3
We are in good profit now so no need to involve further.
But if you want to trade further then lay Chennai 1.2x or back 1.8x if comes upto 15 overs.
All the best.

................
Rajasthan 27/1 in 4 overs.
Plan is :
1.Back Chennai 2.06 now and back 2.6 if comes upto 10 overs.
Gl
............
3rd Update :

1st innings plans gone well and let's face 2nd innings now.
Chennai 163/5 in 20 overs.
Plan is to lay any team at 1.35 with stop loss 12 ticks in first 10 overs.Take profit whenever you get chance.
Gl

..............
2nd Update :
Chennai 130/4 in 17 overs.
Back Rajasthan at decent odds in remaining 3 overs.
Gl
..............
1st Update :
Chennai batting first and score is 51/1 in 7 overs.
Plan is :
1.Back Rajasthan 2.1 if comes with stop loss 15 ticks.
2.Lay Rajasthan 1.3x if comes.Stop loss at innings break.
Take profit whenever you get chance on trades.
Gl

................
Hello and welcome to IPL final live cricket trading.
Jaipur favourites at 1.69 presently.
...............
Jaipur a good lay in present odds because if they bat first price may drift to 1.8x after toss.
So we can take small profit prematch.
Although if Chennai bat first price may drop to 1.60 but i'm ready to take this risk.
................
So plan is lay Jaipur now and then :

1.Let it run if Jaipur bat first with back plan 60% at evens.
Stop loss 15 ticks.
Take profit gradually if you get chance.

2.If Chennai bat first then also let it run.
Stop loss 20 ticks and back plan 110% above 15-20 ticks.
Mumbai pitch is not easy to bat on so i want to go with bowling team in start.
Good luck.

IPL : Punjab v Chennai -2nd Semifinal, 31st May {Inplay}

3rd Update :
Chennai 15/1 in 3rd over.
Last lay gone well.Infact last 2 low odds performed very well.
Plan is to lay again at 1.05 if comes in next 5 overs.
Gl
............
2nd update :
Punjab 112/8 in 20 overs.
Odds 1.12
Well plan is:
1.Lay Chennai 1.05 if comes in 1st 5 overs.Take profit whenever you get chance.
Gl
..............
1st Update :
Punjab batting first and score is 71/7 in 16th over.
Odds Chennai 1.07 as favourites.
Imo a good lay because even at score 90 we may get 1.06 to back.
So lay now with back plan all at 1.14
Good luck.
...............
Hello and welcome to 2nd semifinal trading strategy for 1st innings.
I always believe that the matches in which one team is strong favourites prematch proves very good for trading in any format of the game if there is not much difference in the teams.Even in these matches i prefer strong team to bat first for free lays.
Why ?
Answer is simple.Let's look at the odds for this match.Punjab favourites at 1.56 presently. If they bat first and flying start then odds may shorten to 1.3x quickly which is going to be a free lay for 5 overs atleast and we can trade out at same odds after some time if no profit from trade but if wickets or some tight overs then we can take profit quickly.

Later on if they continue to bat well then we may see 1.1x around 15 overs onwards which is going to be a another good free lay.
...............
Yesterday in 1st semifinal i predicted 1.5x odds on 200 score (Rajasthan batting first) and it was almost same (192 score and Rajasthan traded at 1.64 at innings break). So Rajasthan at 1.4x/1.5x was a good free lay in that match which has very little downward possible movement.
..................
So plan for 1st innings is :

(A) If Punjab bat first :

(2 Free lays expected.First in 1-10 overs and another one in 11-20 overs).

1.Lay Punjab 1.35 if comes in 1st 10 overs with back plan all above 20-30 ticks.
Trade out at same odds or take stop loss 6-8 ticks after sometime.
2.Lay Punjab 1.15 or below if comes around 13-17 overs (consider lay 1.2x if comes after 3 wickets and runrate below 9).Take profit or trade out after sometime.

*Try to repeat trades.Like lay 1.3x and back 1.5x again if 1st trade gone successful.

These are going to be free lays which depends on good start by Punjab. But if bad start then plan is :

3.Back Punjab 2+ if comes in 1st 5 overs with 30 ticks stop loss.Take profit whenever you get chance.

4.Lay Chennai around 1.45 if come anytime upto 4 wickets but score 70+ with stop loss 12 ticks and take profit whenever you get chance.
....................
(B) If Chennai bat first :

This one is interesting because instead of free lay we may find free back in Punjab odds if Chennai start well.

1.Back Punjab 1.8 and then 2.2 if comes in 1st 10 overs.Imo upto 180 score odds are going to be evens at innings break and i don't think Chennai is capable to score 180+.So it may prove safe trade although my advise is to take stop loss or trade out at same odds around 10th over if Chennai continue to bat well because anything is possible in cricket.

2.Lay Chennai 1.6x if comes in 13-17 overs as free lay.Take profit whenever you get chance and stop loss 16 ticks.

Again these trades depends on good start by Chennai. But if bad start then plan is :

3.Lay Punjab 1.2x if comes in 1st 10 overs upto 2 wickets.Take profit whenever you get chance and stop loss 8 ticks.

4.Lay Punjab 1.2-1.3 in middle overs if score 70+ after 3 wickets.Like score 70/3 in 12 overs.Reason for this trade is that Chennai middle order is strong than top order.Consider stop loss 6-8 ticks and take profit whenever you get chance.

So we have plans for each situation (good or bad start) anyone bat first.

I will post update inplay.
All the best and good luck.
.................

IPL : Delhi v Jaipur -1st Semifinal {Inplay}

2nd Update :
Rajasthan 192/9 in 20 overs.
Odds 1.64
Profit from last trade also.
Always remember free lays pays most of the time.
Now plan for chase is :
1.Lay Delhi 1.36 if comes in 1st 10 overs as free lay.Take profit whenever you get chance.
Stop loss >8 ticks.

2.Lay Rajasthan 1.16 if comes in 1st 5 overs as free lay.Back plan 80% at 1.3x stop loss after 10 overs.
Gl
...............
1st Update :
Rajasthan 88/3 in 11th over.
Well our first 10 overs trading gone well thanks to 3 quick wickets.
Now plan is to lay Rajasthan 1.4x/1.5x if comes in next 2-3 overs with same back and stop loss plan.
Gl
..................
Hello and welcome to all.
Match will start from 14:30 GMT.
...............
Rajasthan favourites at 1.79 presently.
Well before start i want to mention strategy in brief for 1st innings.
(A) If Rajasthan bat first :

Delhi batting lineup is very strong on paper. So market is going to offer good odds on Rajasthan even on 200 score (around 1.4x-1.5x).
So if good start by Rajasthan and you find there odds shorten to 1.7x in start ,lay that as free lay for 4-5 overs with back plan all above 30-40 ticks or take all green position whenever you get chance.Stop loss or trade out at same odds around 11-12 overs at 1.6x-1.7x.
If Rajasthan continue to bat well then consider lay 1.4x-1.5x around 13-14th over as absolute free lay with same back plan and stop loss or trade out around 17-18 over on +-10 ticks if it looks they are heading for 210+.

Here i want to mention that on any free lay if no profit in 4-5 overs then try to trade out at +-5 ticks.
If bad start by Rajasthan then lay Delhi around 1.3x if comes in start upto 2 wickets with back plan all above 20-30 ticks.Try to repeat these trades.
.................
(B) If Delhi bat first :
After toss Rajasthan may cut around 1.6x if Delhi bat first.Small lay Rajasthan in start because on a good start we may see evens quickly.
Other plan is same like Rajasthan innings.
Try to lay Delhi 1.5x if comes in first 10 overs as free lay for 4-5 overs after flying start with same back plan and stop loss or trade out plan.
If Delhi continue to bat well then consider lay Delhi 1.3x as absolute free lay around 11-12 overs.
Back plan and stop loss or trade out plan is same.
If bad start by Delhi then consider lay Rajasthan around 1.3x in start upto 2 wickets.
.................
I hope this strategy may help you in first innings though i will post updates inplay.
All the best.
...............
Australia v West Indies ,2nd Test will also start from today.

IPL : Punjab v Rajasthan {Inplay}

2nd Update :
Punjab 221/3 in 20 overs.
Odds 1.14
Looking another one sided match but you never know.
Anyway plan for chase is :

1.Back Punjab
20@1.3
30@1.6
if comes in 1st 8 overs.Take profit whenever you get chance.Stop loss> well at this score odds may stay around 1.7 highest in 1st 10-12 overs. So try to run these back for some overs because wickets and run both will hold price. But if it seems that Rajasthan can win like score 110/1 in 9 overs then try to trade out with minimum loss around 11-12 overs.
Gl

..............
1st Update :
Punjab 74/0 in 8th over.
Plan is lay Punjab 200@1.21 if comes in remaining innings as free lay because imo upto 210 score we may get 1.18 to back.So very low risk lay if comes.Take profit whenever you get chance on above 15-20 ticks and stop loss at innings break on available odds.

All the best.
................
Welcome back.
Punjab batting first.
1st 8 overs plan is to lay Punjab 100@1.45 if comes with 8 ticks stop loss.Back plan 70% at 1.7x
Gl

IPL :Mumbai v Banglore :28th May {Inplay}

3rd Update :
Banglore 122/9 in 18 overs.
Odds 1.14
Match is over unless any dramatic collapse.
Wait for 2 wickets in start then consider lay at 200@1.05 with back plan all above 8-10 ticks.Trade out if no profit in 2-3 overs.
Gl
..................
Banglore batting first and 18 over per side match is expected.
Mumbai favourites at 1.43 presently.
Only few plans for 1st innings :

1.Back 50@1.7 Mumbai if comes and if odds drift then back 50@2.2.Take profit whenever you get chance but more on Mumbai.Stop loss at innings break at available odds.

2.Lay 100@1.17 Mumbai if comes in 1st 8 overs with stop loss 4 ticks.Back plan 120% at 1.3x
Good luck.
...................
2nd Update :

There is some chance of play today as rain stopped now.

IPL : Chennai v Deccan, 27th May {Inplay}

3rd Update :
Deccan 147/8 in 20 overs.
Odds Chennai 1.39
Plan is to wait for Chennai 1.2x or 2.2x
1.Lay Chennai 200@1.23 if comes in 1st 5 overs with stop loss 6 ticks and back plan 90% above 15-20 ticks.
2.Back Chennai 50@2.2 if comes in first 10 overs upto 3 wicket but score 50+ with stop loss 30 ticks.Take profit whenever you get chance on 30-40 ticks.
Gl
.................
2nd Update :
Deccan 44/2 in 8th over.
Odds Chennai 1.39

Strange odds frankly.
Let last trade run as per plan.
Plan for remaining innings is :
Back Chennai 100@1.8 if comes with stop loss 30 ticks.
Gl
................
1st Update :

Early update because i forget to post plan to lay Chennai also at 1.3x which is also safe in starting overs mainly due to Chennai SP.

Lay Chennai 100@1.32 (i prefer small stake to lay bowling team) if comes upto 2 wickets like score 30/2 with back plan 80% at 1.5x
Strict stop loss 8 ticks.
Gl
.................
Hello and good morning, afternoon, evening wherever you are.
Deccan batting first and odds presently :
Chennai 1.74
................
Well what i learn so far from IPL is don't involve untill first 7-8 overs of 1st innings. Only in 1 condition consider entry if batting team odds available at 1.3x to lay.

So plan for 1st 8 overs is lay Deccan 200@1.35 if comes with back plan 110% at 1.5x and stop loss 8 ticks.
.................
I will update plans for remaining innings around 8th over.
Good luck.

IPL : Delhi v Punjab ,27th April - Preview & Plan

Hello and welcome back.

We are offering free service till 14th May at live trading room.
Details can be found here http://tradeoncricket.com/

Also we are posting preview and plan of most of the matches.

It can be found daily at Pete's blog http://tradeonsports.blogspot.com/ along with excellent football predictions by

Pete and sometimes here also.
...........................................

Delhi v Punjab:

(11:30 GMT)
Venue :
Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh
................
Delhi unbeaten so far from 2 games while Punjab won one game from three.
Delhi mainly dependent on their openers and on their day they can be unstoppable but if they fail then there is no depth in batting.Punjab more balance side than Delhi.
Overall Delhi is team who can win by 9 wickets or lose by 9 wickets.

Main points:
1.Ground/pitch:
Batting pitch and high scoring match is expected.Toss winner may prefer to bat first.

2.Teams :

>Delhi
Key players are Sehwag , Gambhir , S Malik , D L Vettori and Mcgrath
Team don't have batting depth so they may struggle if bad start.

>Punjab

Yuvraj , Jayawardene , B Lee , JR Hopes and Sangakkara are key players.
Balanced team and batting depth.
B Lee can destroy any team top batting order.

3.Early prices and market mood.

Punjab slightly favourites at 1.98 presently.

(Delhi now @1.89 during typing)
Punjab playing at home ground and no doubt more balanced team than Delhi.

Roughly no clear cut favourites.
.................

Strategy for match:

We traded 2 games yesterday.
1st match plan gone well but not in 2nd match.
But i hope profit in 1st match is more than 2nd match loss because quick stop loss is taken in 2nd match.
Main winning strategy done well in 1st match and our focus will be more on that in remaining matches.
.................

Predicted target odds & 1st innings plan:

(A) If Delhi bat first:

230 1.1x
210 1.4x
190 Evens
170 2.5x
150 3.8x
130 6.2x
110 15
*All are Delhi odds.

Plan If Delhi bat first:

1.Lay Delhi 200@1.6x (consider 1.8x after Sehwag wicket) if comes in 1st 10 overs as free lay.
Stop loss:
Strict stop loss @1.48 because Sehwag and Gambhir explosive batting can start 1.01 train.
If stop loss does not hit then let it run and green up last.

2.Back Punjab 100@2+ if comes in first 10 overs after 2 wickets.Consider back Punjab 1.7+ if bad start and 2 wickets and Sehwag wicket in that if comes in 1st 10 overs.
Back 100 more if odds lengthen to 2.2-2.4

Stop loss : 2.9 Punjab
Let it run for some time if stop loss does not hit and green up at low odds.

3.Lay Delhi 200@1.2x if comes anytime in 1st innings.
Stop loss at available odds in innings break and take profit or back 120% above 20-30 ticks.

(Summary is if bad start then back Punjab at decent odds and if very good start then lay Delhi in low odds and green up if stop loss does not hit).
...................

(B) If Punjab bat first:

230 1.1x
210 1.4x
190 1.8x
170 2.6x
150 4.8x
130 8.2x
110 20
*All are Punjab odds.

Plan If Punjab bat first:

1.Lay Punjab
100@1.7x
100@1.4x
If comes in 1st 10 overs.
Stop loss at 12-15 overs at 1.4x-1.5x and take equal profit whenever you get chance.
Try to repeat this trade.

3.Lay Delhi 100@1.6x if comes upto 2 wickets but score 60+ in first 10 overs.
Stop loss 12 ticks and let it run if stop loss does not hit for some long and then green up.

4.Lay Punjab 200@1.5x if comes after 3 wickets in 12-15 overs and runrate below 10 with stop loss 12 ticks.
Take profit whenever you get chance.
...............
Summary:

It is going to be contest between

Sehwag and B Lee

Sangakkara and Mcgrath

This contest winner's team is going to be most likely winner.

No straight bet advise because difficult to predict winner.

All the best.

IPL Twenty20 Tournament : Strategy & Some General Points

Hello and welcome back.
Long time since last post but I'll try now to be regular.
Big tournament ahead so i want to post something on it.

....................................

Main matches in which good free lays and excellent trading opportunities is expected :
First I'm taking 2nd innings opportunities:
1.High chase (170-210) :(A) Batting team low odds (1.2-1.4) to lay around 7-10 overs if they start well.(B) Bowling team low odds (1.1-1.3) to lay if early wickets.
2.Low chase (110-140) :(A) Batting team low odds (1.0x-1.2) to lay around 2-5 overs if they start well.(B) Batting team high odds odds ( 1.6-1.8 ) to back if early wickets.
1st innings:
(A)Flying start by batting team : Batting team low odds (1.3-1.5) around 3-7 overs to lay.
(B) Bowling team low odds (1.3-1.5) to lay if early wickets in first 10 overs (as mentioned earlier wickets are of less importance in this format and collapse generally not seen because 11 batsman are there to play only 20 overs).
>Those matches are very good for trading in which one team is strong favourite prematch around 1.4x-1.6xBecause there odds shorten rapidly after good start either batting first or bowling first and in this format of cricket every team has equal chance to win.
..............................................
Some general points to consider while laying low odds:
*Wickets are of less importance so we can consider lay bowling team on wickets @1.3x in first 10 overs.*Any 1.2x if comes early is proved a good lay if both are good teams because only one good over can change the odds
............................................
Predicted target odds
It is not easy to predict in starting matches because all teams are new but imo odds are going to be around evens on 160 score if almost equal teams are playing (In recently played ICL it was very difficult to predict because big difference in teams ,like for 180 odds was 1.1x at innings break where is in last Twenty20 world cup it was around 1.5x because all teams played in that tournament was quality teams >full strength team from test playing nations).
Main points for predicted target odds:
>Pitch type.
>Ground size and history (high scoring or low scoring ground).
>Market mood (heavily favouring one team or not).
>Home or away team.
>Both team batting & bowling strength.
>Both team records against each other.
>Day/Night effect on matches specially in chase and due factor.
...............................
I want to mention here that first week matches are for small stake trading and to make a strategy for next matches.
Because in every team there are unknown players.
So Predicted target odds is difficult to predict in early matches like for tomorrow match i don't have fair idea about odds on score 170 if Kolkata bat first (is it going to be 1.7x or 1.4x and even 1.2x is possible).
........................................
Volatile market strategy:
Possibility of volatile market in each match.
Best it to avoid trading at that time but if you want to trade at that time small lay anyteam 1.2x or below.
Why:
Market is volatile because odds are changing rapidly on wickets and runs means short odds are lengthening and long odds are becoming short.
So there are three benefits of this strategy:
First benefit is if that trade goes against use then loss in minimum because we layed short odds.
Second is big profit is expected every time and the third one and most important is you can close that trade easily anytime like if you layed
100@1.22 then chances of back at 1.14-1.18 is there everytime...............
Apart from this always try to go with bowl team in tense situation at 7+ or lay bat team at 1.1x.
.......................................................
When to lay:
Most important point because this creates the difference between mug punting and smart trading.Always try to take momentum odds i.e after boundaries or wickets.
1st Innings:
1.Batting team after flying start in low odds in 1st 5 overs or after 4-5 wickets in low odds in middle overs.
2.Bowling team upto 3 wickets in low odds in 1st 10 overs.
Second innings:
1.Low chase :
wait for batting team 1.0x after 2 wickets because even after 2 wickets odds are same as start but chances of drift is more after 2 wickets.
2.High chase :
Wait for batting team in low odds if good start.
....................................

Random general tips:
>While Laying bowling team 1.2x:Consider who is coming next or whether big hitter batsman are remaining or not .
>Wait for anyteam 1.3x is best policy in Twenty20.
>Spin bowling around 10-15 overs is crucial in both innings. So teams having good spinners are backable at that time.
>Chasing :60 runs in 6 overs looks big but 40 in 3 doesn't looks big if wickets in hand so can consider lay bowling team 1.1x in this situation.
>Batting team 1.0x-1.2x odds in chase is going to be very good trading opportunity specially after 3 wickets and 90+ runs required at 8+ runrate because at this runrate it is not easy to score in any format of the game or i can say should not be a 1.1x call.
>Selective trading in selective matches is best for long term.
>Advance lay/back plan with stop loss is must because there is generally no win trade is seen in Twenty20 matches and few ticks profit on each side is going to be main strategy.More profit on favourite team is considerable.
..................................................
Advance lay/back plans and stop loss:
Other important point or most important aspect of trading specially in limited overs game. It is human tendency that we all close win trade early and let lose trade run long. Like if layed at 1.2 then back at 1.3 or 1.4 but if it goes against us then wait for miracle. Common problem with everyone and i think solution for this is mechanical trading (frankly from my personal experience there is loss whenever i deviated from it or very small profit instead of good plan). So always follow advance lay/back plans with strict stop loss and it is the way for success in long run.

For example if any team batting first in a Twenty20 match has a flying start and the odds are 1.4x in 4th over. As per plan we layed that team for
200@1.44, now back plan is important. Suppose after 1st wickets odds reached to 1.6x then it is sensible to back 120% or 240@1.62 because in Twenty20 wickets are of less importance than in any other format of the game .For this place advance back trade of 240@1.62 is required because odds changes within seconds to 1.5x (some time without a ball been bowled) and then try to lay/back 1.4x-1.6x again.

*Also take stop loss if required, suppose if set at 6-8 ticks is must when trade looking to going against us (we've seen in recent ICL matches Lahore odds shorten to 1.0x within few overs in start) .

So back plan may be to back 80% at above 20-25 ticks (take early profit) or back 120% at above 20-25 ticks and try to repeat that.
......................................................
DON'T's In Twenty20 Trading
Please avoid these situations which can lead to poor house:
1.Never back short odds at anytime of match (1.0x to 1.3x) .
2.Don't allow lose trade to run long.
3.Avoid over trading and over staking.
4.Don't chase losses.

Thanks for visit.
All the best and good luck to all.

England v New Zealand,2nd T20-Preview

Hello and welcome to 2nd T20 match preview.
England won 1st match comprehensively and absence of Jacob Oram who only shown some resistance with bat make England task more easy this time so there odds are so short (1.60).
It is very good from trading point of view.Let me explain why:
Twenty20 is the shortest format of the game in which only one over, one player can decide the outcome. No doubt England has upper hand and not easy to oppose prematch.
Just see my predict target odds for this match:
(A)If England bat first:
210 1.1x
190 1.3x
170 1.7x
150 Evens
130 2.8x
*all are England odds.
(A)If New Zealand bat first:
210 1.3x
190 1.7x
170 evens
150 2.8x
130 4.2x
*all are New Zealand odds.
You can see dramatic change in odds on 20 runs. That's why as i said only one over can decide the outcome.
Anyway from trading point of view this match may prove even more better if England bat first.England odds around 1.3-1.4 may prove free lay of the match in start if England bat first.
Good luck to all.

Australia v India 4th Test,Preview & Plan

Hello and welcome back.Match scheduled to begin at 00:30 GMT at Adelaide, Jan 24, 2008
Ground history:No doubt in favour of Australia.
Key points are:
1.Weather: Seems O.K but some chances of rain on last 2 days.
2.Teams: Hayden is back for Australia and Jaffer may not play and Harbhajan most likely to replace him.
Plan:
>Current odds are Aus 2.0 as favourites,Draw 2.5 and India 9.
It looks like that because of flat pitch prediction,India batting strength and Australia defeat in last test Draw is so short.
Although last 10 Test matches shows 90% result (8 home and 1 away) at this venue and only 10% or 1 Draw.
Anyway plan for 1st day is:

(A)If India bat first:
1.Back Aus at 2.0 in start (small) and back some more if odds drifts to 2.6+ and wait.
2.Lay Australia 1.4x or below if comes before lunch.
3.Back Draw 5.5+ if comes before lunch and 6+ anytime on day 1 (not after batting collapse like if you see collapse in start then wait till tea).
4.Lay Draw 1.7x or below before lunch.
5.India odds:better leave it.
(B)If Australia bat first:
1.Back Aus 3.0+ before lunch.
2.Lay Australia 1.7x or below.
3.Back Draw 4+ if comes before lunch and 5+ anytime on day 1.
4.Lay Draw 1.8x or below before lunch and 1.5x anytime.
5.India odds: Back India 18+ if comes in start and lay 3.5 or below anytime.

Australi v India-Test Series Review,South Africa v West Indies ODI Series Preview & Live Cricket Trading Room Launching

Hello and welcome back,
Australia v India:

A great contest ended today.India won the third Test match by 72 runs against Australia.Frankly i think winner is game of cricket :-) in last because too many bad things happened between Sydney Test and this match. This match also produced some good trading opportunities mainly because of market love for Australia. But as someone rightly quoted in betfair cricket forum on a query that what odds would be offered if India or England chasing 413 runs in 4th innings, his answer was 15+ because they have never won 16 Tests in a row!.
Australia was 1.41 prematch for this match and i've noticed that those who love straight bet takes these odds.Whether it is profitable or not but in more than 80% matches in last 10 matches (from memory) short odds favourite teams odds are lengthen inplay.I'm working on samples and these are few examples from recent matches:
1.South Africa v New Zealand> 2 Test matches in which SA odds was 1.6x prematch and traded at 1.9+ in both matches.
2.Sri Lanka v England> 3 Test match in which Lanka traded higher than prematch during inplay (don't know exact odds range).
3.South Africa v West Indies> 3 Test match and in 2 matches SA traded at much higher (inplay) than prematch.
4.Australia v India> 3 Test match so far and in all three Australia traded much higher inplay than prematch.
I'm collecting more data for both Test match & limited overs game and after analysis i will publish results here.If you have any data please let me know.
.............
South Africa v West Indies, ODI series preview:
Yesterday we saw 2nd Twenty20 match in which there was massive odds movement in 2nd innings.Lets hope it will continue in ODI's also.
West Indies batting is weak without Gayle and very unpredictable (with Gayle also) although i think there bowling attack is much better in recent times.
So plan for this series is that if West Indies is batting in any inning then only think of backing SA at good odds like 1.6+ because West Indies may collapse anytime. And if SA is batting then think laying SA in short odds if comes early. All the best for the series.

Aus v India,Day 3 Plan

Hello,
Day 2 was excellent for us.I mentioned yesterday that if Australia odds reach 1.5x today morning lay that as free lay.
As it was anticipated market love with Australia continue today also.India bowled out 330 today morning and Australia odds was 1.41!
We know Australia is a very strong team and can win from nowhere.
Anyway fingers crossed may market love them always :-).
...........
Plan for day 3:
Frankly i've noticed may time that after 2 good days if i involve on 3rd day then generally my green reduced so i'm very cautious for tomorrow.
Plan is:
1.Wait for India odds in 1.4x range specially after 3 wickets to lay as free lay with condition at that time mainly runs on board.
2.Wait for Australia 4.5+ in India innings anytime tomorrow specially after 3 wickets.
3.If you see couple of early wickets tomorrow morning then wait and consider small lay Australia in 1.7x if comes.
Frankly movement in Australia odds is going to be more so try to find value in Australia odds 4.5+ tomorrow whenever comes.
Beware Australia is a dangerous team so don't leave big liability on them.
Please visit 'Live cricket trading room' for Inplay post.
All the best.

Aus v India update

Hello,
Great 1st day for this test match for us in 'Live trading room' at http://tradeonsports.forumotion.com and i hope you all enjoyed there.Though i posted here also the plan for 1st day in advance.

Frankly confidence was low after West Indies v South Africa,3rd Test which gone one way from start so i was not keen to lay Australia in 1.4x if India bat first otherwise Australia at 1.40 was a good lay prematch for a Test match.
My fear was that if India will lose early wickets (which was anticipited due to fast track) then Australia may win this match like South Africa one way.
So i decided to back Australia at good odds first rather than lay which generally i don't prefer.

...............
Plan for day 2:
Current odds Australia is 1.69
Wait for Australia 1.5x if comes early tomorrow to lay as free lay.
I will post other plans inplay whenever it comes in live cricket trading room.
All the best.
............
P.S: I will post here results after play on regular basis probably from tomorrow.
A new website is set to launch shortly for this.

India v Australia,3rd Test-Preview & Plan(s)

Hello and welcome back.
South Africa v West Indies 3rd Test ended on day three and SA won it comprehensively.
Poor show by West Indies in the whole match apart from a good partnership for 4th wicket in 2nd innings.Chanderpaul not batted in 2nd innings worsen things more for West Indies otherwise we might had some good Draw odds trading on day 3rd.
Anyway 2 out of 3 Tests in the series gone in our way and 1 loss is a part of trading :-).
................
Australia v India,3rd Test Plan:
Match is going to be played at W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth which is the quickest pitch in Australia.
Overall records suggests that beat Australia at Perth is a very difficult task.
Weather so far looks to be fine.
Current odds are:
Australia 1.40 as strong favourites,Draw 5.0 second favourite and India 10.0 as outsiders.
My plan:
Frankly from free lay and trading point of view i always like to see strong favourite team bat first in any format of the game.
So here again i will not hesitate to lay Australia in 1.4x if they bat first with a back plan of 1.6x and 1.8x.
If India bat first then i would like to wait for 10-15 overs because i don't like to back any selection in Test match 1.4x on day 1 or lay strong bowling team which is also strong favourites prematch on a fast track.
Another thing is there will be very slow odds movement in Australia odds even if India won't lose any wicket in 1st ten overs.
If India bat well till lunch like 80/1 then consider back Australia 1.7x and then wait and if they continue to bat well then consider back some more at 2.4+ if comes on day one.
All the best.
P.S:
I will post plan for Draw and India odds trading on 15th.
